St Blasius Day
St Blasius, patron saint of Dubrovnik is a well known figure to all who visit the Old Town at least once as his statues can be seen all over the city walls. From February 2nd to February 7th, a traditional Feast of St. Blasius goes on in Dubrovnik, featuring a display of traditional costumes and customs, numerous entertainment events, as well as a large open air mass followed by a procession on Febuary 3rd. This year Dubrovnik clebrate 1038th Feast of St. Blasius!

February in Dubrovnik
February in Dubrovnik is a month when people are returning from vacations that are often taken during winter, as summer season is the busiest time of the year for most of the people. Feast of St Blasius is a big thing for all the locals at the beginning of the month (image above). Carnival is also an important part of Dubrovnik's offer during February, happening closer to the middle of the month. February in Dubrovnik's Tourism sector also means getting through all the preparations, negotiations, and strategic planning for the season, as March usually means start of the main booking period and a slow introduction into pre-season.
